Priyanka Chopra movie Dostana is a story based on 2 friends who lie about being gays. This movie is the first movie of Indian cinema which has gay as its central theme. Kal Ho Naa Ho and Fashion are few movies which have just touched upon the sensitive topic.

This will be Priyanka Chopra second big movie in a row after Fashion . Said an excited Priyanka Chopra. My journey in Dostana is definitely very interesting. Two reportedly gay men are my best friends. As the title of the movie suggests, the movie is on friendship. All 3 of us live and eat together. They share their joys and sorrows. It is a very urban story of today’s time when a girl and boy can be friends. It is shot in Miami and is a great looking fun movie.

Priyanka Chopra is very supportive of gays. She said, When we are walking on the road, we do not point someone and say that he is a heterosexual. So why should we point at someone and said that he is gay? Sexual preference is an individual choice. Living in a democratic country one should be allowed to have a personal choice.

I am very proud of the fashion industry for giving gay people an opportunity to be themselves and yet be creative. There are many industries which are biased towards gays.
