Preity Zinta choppy chopper ride

Preity Zinta had a flight of her life when she was shooting for Har Pal in Shillong. Based in Gauhati, the cast and crew used to fly everyday to Shillong by the chopper. The roads to Shillong were so bad that any pregnant lady could deliver in the car itself. We used to hire government choppers to get to the sets. There is a Five kilometre long lake at the foothills of Shillong, the picturesque Barapani Lake, a vast expanse of blue water set against lush green hillocks … It was the border area on the North East frontier where the Air Force crew used to do their drills and exercise.

“So once while Preity was being flown, the aircraft lost height, so much so that it touched the lake. Thankfully, the choppers that we had hired belonged to the air force and had floating devices. It landed safely on the surface of the lake. The Air Force people came to their rescue, and Preity and the pilot were taken by boat to land. From there on, it was a road journey for the two. It wasn’t an accident, thankfully. No one was injured. It was just an incident…”

And the sweet part about it all was that Preity’s boyfriend Ness flew to Shillong to be with his Lady Love. Talk about love har pal !
