Low on oomph, high on attitude; Vidya Balan dumps her mentor

Vidya Balan

She is yet to acquire the class and the size needed to claim the superstar stature, but that is not keeping Vidya Balan from throwing fits like one. The dusky babe who is much in news for her tardy dressing sense and bulky frame, is now hitting headlines for another wrong reason.

The actress is apparently rubbing her few admirers the wrong way as she is increasingly backing out on her word and dumping old projects. What’s more, the actress is turning down her mentors.

According to the latest buzz, Vidya has walked out of Gautam Haldar’s Bengali film ‘Mukti’. Haldar is among the few filmmakers who had shown their support in the actress during her struggling years. Not many know but the actress had started out with Haldar’s film ‘Bhalo Theko’.

The film that had helped the starlet gain an entry into Bollywood, had also won her a Best actress award. But looks like, Vidya has fast forgotten her past.

However, retorting to all such speculations the actress said that it was a date problem that caused her to back out. Apparently the actress had given her dates to Balki’s Pa with Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Chenab Gandhi’. So there was just no way she could accommodate Haldar’s project.
