Jayabalan debuts in Kollywood

Sri Lankan Tamil writer and political commentator V I S Jayabalan is being launched in Tamil films by noted director Vetrimaran. Jayabalan is playing an important character in Vetri’s Aadukalam, in which he’s pitched against Dhanush and Kishore. We hear that Jayabalan

agreed to do the role only after the director narrated the entire plot to him. Sources say that he was so impressed with the story and its treatment that he readily agreed to act in the film. Shooting is in progress in villages around Madurai.

Says Dhanush, the hero of the film, “Aadukalam’s story floored me and I’m sure it will be special to me. Director Vetri has an innovative style of filmmaking and has always attempted to explore something new. Mark my words, Jayabalan sir’s role will be the surprise package in this film.”
