Gul Panag speaks on homosexuality

Trust Gul Panag to speak her mind when it comes to socially-relevant issues. Little wonder then, that the model-turned-actress — who will soon be seen in Straight – Ek Tedhi Medhi Love Story alongside Vinay Pathak — is equally vocal when it comes to talking

about homosexuality in India.

“I don’t think the government or the society should meddle with people’s right to chose their sexual orientation. It’s a very personal matter and their personal choice should be treated with respect,” said the actress, who’s latest film also revolves around the same issue.

Talking about it Gul added, “It’s a love story about a young man, who’s unsure if he is in love with a man or a woman. I am sure there are people out there who will relate to it. It’s a pity that so many of them have to lead dual lives just to fit into the society.” Well Gul, hopefully your words will help get the point ‘straight’ across!
