“Emotional” Twilight Actress Skips New Moon Premiere

Sour grapes or sick dog? Original Twilight vampire Rachelle Lefevre skipped last night’s New Moon premiere in Los Angeles, even though she appears in the sequel as the flame-haired evil vamp Victoria.

The reason? Lefevre was replaced in the series’ third installment, Eclipse, by another redhead: Bryce Dallas Howard. It was apparently too much for Lefevre, who tweeted:

“2 fans at the premiere: w/ Honey in hospital & being fired from Eclipse tonight was just 2 emotional 4 me & I couldn’t manage it.” Honey is the actress’ dog.

Summit Entertainment says they replaced Lefevre because she signed on to another movie that conflicted with the filming of Eclipse. The actress claims she was only committed to the other film for 10 days.
