Atif Aslam biography
Atif Aslam, the Voice Of Pakistan, Is a Pakistani Famous Pop Singer.He is the youngest singer of Pakistan who rocks the whole world with his rocking voice. Atif Aslam was born on 12th march 1983 in Wazirabad Gujranwala a place that have given lot of renowned intellectuals to the country like Munno Bhayee and Ata Ul Haq Qasmi.Atif’s kinder garden started in Model town Lahore at Kimberley Hall School. His first stage manifestation was in a fancy dress show at his school when he was in grade–1 where he performed as Imran Khan “ Captain of Pakistan Cricket Team”. Since then cricket was like a passion to him. He was never tired of playing cricket for hours in his car porch whether it is scorching sun outside or even raining. At that time he did not use to listen any kind of songs.
He moved to Islamabad at the age of nine where he continued his study in Saint Paul’s School. Atif came back to Lahore in 1995 where he continued his studies in Divisional Public School (DPS), Model Town, Lahore. In school’s cricket team he was selected as a bowler. Atif passed his matriculation in the age of 14 with a distinctive edge that he was the youngest boy in the class because of his double promotions in the Kimbereley Hall School.

Story Twist
The twist in the story comes when one day he was singing with his friends at the college canteen. His friends insisted him to participate in the singing competition on Independence Day celebrations at PAF College Lahore and Sargodha in 1998. He performed there and won the competition. After HSc Atif Joined Punjab Institute of Computer Science Gulberg Campus. This time studies were much more demanding as compared to the previous ones. He had to sacrifice his time for the cricket.

Atif Aslam Hobby
His hobby of singing continued when he entered the singing competition of his college. There were a total of 8 participants .The media team entered Atif’s name in the competition at the eleventh hour and he won the competition by singing a hit number Duur of Strings Band

He kept on winning these competitions every semester until he announced that he will no longer participate in next competitions so that someone else can also win the competition. He met Gohar, a “a guitarist” and his future band mate, at his college. Together they started practice and doing mini concerts for their friends. Atif and Goher formed the band Jal. Jal recorded the song Aadat at Mekal Hassan’s Studio. The song became popular at various Pakistani websites and also played on different rdio stations. The video of this song was released on Ary The Music.
Atif Aslam released his first Album Jal Pari on 18th July 2004 by sound master and IC records.
After the release of the song “Aadat” by Jal, there were disputes within the band. And than Atif Broke Off from band to do his solo album. His new album was released a few weeks before the release of the new Jal’s (Goher Mumtaz, Farhan Saeed, Shazi) “Aadat”. Both the bands shared some certain tracks such as ‘Aadat’, ‘Woh Lamhey’, and ‘Dil Harey’ and an war begings between both the bands.

Atif Aslam’s soulful voice crossed the Pakistani border and reached India when Bollywood director Mahesh Bhatt called Atif Aslam to seek his consent to put “Woh Lamhey” as a song in the soundrack of his new motion picture, Zeher. After that, Atif Aslam’s music spread across to people and radio stations that play it all over the subcontinent now.

Tamgha-e- Imtiaz

Singing sensation, Atif Aslam became the youngest ever Pakistani to receive the Tamgha-e- Imtiaz award for making his country proud. The award is the fourth highest honour of the Government of Pakistan given to both civilians and military having immense merit in various fields of literature, arts, sports, medicine or science.
  

Atif received the award from the Punjab Governor on Pakistan Day on March 23. The celebrated singer who has already performed in more than 25 countries, while receiving the award said, “I think (I got the award) because I represented Pakistan internationally a lot this year. That’s what the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz stands for. It’s awarded to people who make Pakistan proud globally.”
